Terms of Reference
- Updating and promoting the Wine Packaging Guidelines
- Encouraging cooperation between winemakers and local packaging companies in response to proposed changes to packaging specifications by major national and international distributors
- Working to improve safety levels for packing and transporting wine
- Maintaining a watching brief on Container Deposit Legislation
- Investigating the development of a benchmark for whole of life packaging costs in Australia
- Monitoring international and domestic allergen and other mandatory labelling
- Monitoring the lightweighting of bottles internationally and working with domestic bottle producers on lightweighting issues
- Providing input into the National Trade Measurement Legislation and Regulations
- Keeping WFA members informed of any relevant changes to packaging regulations, domestically and internationally.
