Diversity and Equality in Wine
Australian Grape & Wine is honoured to continue the work in the area of Diversity & Gender Equality in Wine (DEW) that was started by the Winemaker's Federation of Australia. We will continue to lead the sector regarding gender equality, by driving uptake on the Diversity & Equality Charter for the Australian wine sector.
The three documents that form the comprehensive framework for the Grape & Wine sector, in the area of Diversity and Equality:
The Australian Grape & Wine Board signed off on the Charter and corresponding supporting document and implementation plan, at the inaugural Board Meeting on 5 March 2019. To seek greater diversity and equality in the sector, Australian Grape & Wine will require all Committee members to become signatories/support the principles in the Charter. Members of Australian Grape & Wine will be encouraged to become signatories and support the principles in the Charter.

We were thrilled with the response to DEW at AWITC, Session 3 of the Outlook Conference - Getting the Foundations Right, Monday 22 July 2019. If you missed it, or if you were there but want to watch the session again, it is now available to relive the magic all over again!
We need your support to spread the word. Tag us in with #imadewbeliever on your socials and watch this movement grow!
Our next stop: New York City where we will take DEW to the global stage at the Australian Women in Wine Awards on 17 September 2019.
