Australian Grape & Wine is calling for nominations to join the National Biosecurity Advisory Committee.
Committee Purpose
The National Biosecurity Advisory Committee plays a critical role in safeguarding the Australian grape and wine sector from biosecurity threats.
It provides advice to Australian Grape & Wine and Wine Australia on emerging biosecurity issues, helping to promote safe and sustainable winegrape growing through collaboration, policy input, and research prioritisation.
The Committee’s objectives include:
Through Australian Grape & Wine, the Committee engages with Plant Health Australia, Wine Australia, State and Federal Governments, and industry stakeholders to align sector priorities with national biosecurity strategies.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The Committee will comprise up to ten members appointed for a three-year term, with the opportunity for renewal by mutual agreement.
Nominations will be assessed with consideration of:
Observers from Wine Australia, Plant Health Australia, and State or Territory Governments may also participate in Committee meetings.
Submission Requirements
Nominations should include a completed Nomination Form.
Deadline
All nominations must be received by Monday, 27 October 2025.
