Australian Grape & Wine is calling for nominations to join the Wine Industry Technical Advisory Committee (WITAC).
Committee Purpose
The Wine Industry Technical Advisory Committee (WITAC) supports Australian Grape & Wine’s priorities by providing technical and scientific expertise that ensures the sector remains world-leading, innovative, and compliant with domestic and international regulatory standards.
WITAC provides advice on technical matters affecting the grape and wine industry, helping to inform policy, guide regulatory responses, and maintain Australia’s reputation for safe, high-quality wine production.
The Committee’s objectives include:
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The Committee will comprise a minimum of six members and a Chairperson, appointed for three-year terms with the possibility of renewal by mutual agreement.

Observers may include representatives from the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI), Wine Australia, and Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
